The plant extract industry has been developed in the last 20 years. It is also a new industry between medicine, fine chemical industry and agriculture industry.
Since April 1, 2005, the Ministry of Commerce has implemented six recommended trade standards for foreign trade. The six standards are: "Hypericum perforatum extract", "Angelica sinensis extract", "Trifoliate Fructus aurantii extract", "red clover extract", "Valerian extract" and "Green Industry Standard for Medicinal Plants and Preparations in foreign trade". The Ministry of Commerce takes the implementation of six recommended trade standards for foreign trade as the breakthrough point and selects the varieties of plant extracts with large export volume to formulate foreign trade standards.
